Moonfrost Cooking Recipes

Use Walter's Cooking Station, unlock recipes in quest order, protect quality ingredients, and plan food for stamina, requests, and collections.

Cooking begins at Walter’s Cooking Station in the Village. Recipes arrive through Walter’s quest chain rather than a single level milestone, so the practical order is to finish Cooking 101, keep the requested crops and dishes, then follow Farming Away, Sea Food, A Second Chance, and the related store-restoration steps. Food supports stamina and health, but many dishes are more valuable as quest hand-ins than as sale stock.

A current independent guide records 15 station recipes, with 14 obtainable through the launch quest flow and Boiled Eggs attached to a quest that does not start in that version. Treat this as a dated Early Access inventory, not a guarantee that every visible recipe remains locked or unlocked after an update.

Learn how the station queue behaves

Open Walter’s station, choose a known recipe, and verify every ingredient before adding a quantity. Current launch documentation records a small Sil fee, short processing time, and three queue slots. A queued batch is paid up front and can process while you do other Village work. Collect finished output before assuming it reached your bag automatically.

If the wrong batch has not begun, remove it and confirm that ingredients and currency returned. Once processing starts, let the current item finish instead of repeatedly changing the queue. Keep free bag space for the result, especially when cooking several stacks for Walter or another resident.

Fresh produce

Check crop quality before adding it. Some recorded recipes require Uncommon ingredients rather than any grade.

Follow Walter’s recipe route

Cooking 101 introduces Veggie Salad and uses the result as a hand-in. The same chain adds Blueberry Jam and the ingredients for later pastry work, then asks for an Uncommon salad before opening Sweet Dough and Blueberry Pie. Farming Away expands the crop set and leads through vegetable dishes and a Copper Wire requirement for the station.

Fishing 101 and Sea Food connect Ronen’s system to Walter’s kitchen. The launch route moves through fish ingredients and then a sequence of Fish Soup, Baked Fish, Grilled Fish, Batter, and Battered Fish. Later story progress adds Tomato Sauce, Rhubarb Pie, and Veggie Cream. Read Walter’s current dialogue and reward panel because Early Access patches can move a recipe or seed between steps.

Decide whether to eat, hand in, or store a dish

Read the active objective before consuming a newly unlocked meal. Many Walter steps teach a recipe and immediately ask for its result. Friendship quests and Village projects can also require food. Keep one protected dish when you do not yet know the next conversation.

Eat food when its displayed recovery lets you finish a planned tool or Temple session. Compare health and stamina on the actual item card; third-party effect tables can age quickly. Selling can make sense for true surplus, particularly for some fish dishes, but profit should be calculated from current ingredient cost, quality, travel, and processing—not from an isolated sale price.

For collections, confirm that an entry registered after the dish entered inventory. Intermediate ingredients and unavailable recipes can appear differently from completed meals, so do not treat the station list itself as a finished album.

Fix a missing or blocked recipe

Check the associated Walter quest, its last hand-in, the seed or ingredient shop, and whether the station queue contains an uncollected result. Confirm that quality-tagged ingredients are in the bag rather than storage. A stack of Common Radishes cannot satisfy an Uncommon Radish requirement.

If a recipe appears in an external database but has no current quest or station path, label it unavailable instead of forcing progression. Boiled Eggs is the clearest launch example: extracted and listed, yet tied by current third-party documentation to content that does not start. Report a discrepancy with the recipe name, quest state, public branch date, and screenshot.

Use Crops and Farming for ingredient planning, Fishing Guide for fish locations, and Recipes Database when you need a station-and-source lookup rather than a cooking route.
