Use this Moonfrost recipes index as a way to identify the right recipe family and verification step. A community data browser exposed 777 recipe and exchange records at the check date, but that number includes file-level entries and is not a count of recipes guaranteed to be obtainable in the public Early Access build. The live workstation, shop or quest in your save is the final authority.
Choose the recipe family first
Cooking recipes belong to Walter’s cooking flow and turn crops, fish, forage and purchased ingredients into meals. Tool and processed-material recipes support farming, cleanup and upgrades. Furniture recipes feed Build Mode and resident homes. Construction recipes cover structural pieces. Shop exchanges and quest conversions may look recipe-like in extracted data but use a different player interaction.
Search by intended output, then inspect its station and unlock. If the object is not visible at the expected interface, check progression before gathering inputs. A blueprint can depend on a quest, level, villager, rebuilt business, vendor or current content boundary.
Read each recipe as a structured record
A useful recipe record needs more than a name. Capture the output and quantity, every input and quantity, station or interaction, unlock source, availability status, and date checked. For a processed input, link to its own record instead of hiding a second material chain inside a note.
Use three availability labels. “Confirmed live” means the recipe is visible or usable in the current public build. “Progression-gated” means a current source ties it to a reachable quest, level, business or blueprint. “Data-only or unconfirmed” means the record exists in extracted files without a verified player acquisition path. Never silently convert the third label into a live recipe.
Output
Record the exact in-game name, quantity and inventory context that receives the result.
Inputs
Separate raw resources from intermediates and retain the quantities shown by the current UI.
Unlock
Name the quest, level, shop, villager, blueprint or facility only when a current source confirms it.
Version
Attach the public-branch check date so a later cost change can be corrected cleanly.
Cooking snapshot
A current independent launch guide reports 15 recipes at Walter’s station, with 14 obtainable in the launch Early Access route and Boiled Eggs tied to an unavailable quest at that time. Treat that as a dated snapshot, not a permanent lock. Check the live station after updates and after completing Walter’s latest tasks.
Cooking records should include ingredient quality where the live recipe requires it, plus the current recovery or sale use only after verification. Do not substitute a generic crop for an Uncommon or otherwise qualified ingredient. Preserve the first hard-to-find fish or crop if it may also fill the Collection Album.
For a practical station workflow and the availability caveat, use Cooking Recipes.
Crafting and furniture snapshot
Search components by the final object that requests them. Copper Wire and similar intermediate materials may appear in a downstream recipe before their own acquisition path is clear. Verify their producing station, blueprint and inputs in the current save. If no live path appears, progress the relevant workshop or quest rather than farming speculative ingredients.
Furniture records need an extra inventory field because the output may enter Build Mode storage rather than the carried bag. Record the set or category, functional room tag where confirmed, blueprint source, and current material cost. The Steam store promises hundreds of blueprints across crafting and construction, but does not promise that every extracted entry is available at the start.
Diagnose a missing or conflicting recipe
Confirm the exact product scope: Steam base game AppID 2561630, current public branch. Check the expected station, character, vendor and quest. Compare your progress with the source’s date. If two sources disagree about ingredients, use the recipe displayed by your game and note the version.
Do not count duplicate internal IDs as distinct player recipes without testing. Do not assume a Demo or pre-Early-Access cost survived launch. Do not publish a file-derived reward, price or unlock as confirmed until it appears through a player-facing route.
For broader item lookup, use Items Database. For practical crafting chains, use Crafting Recipes, and for natural ingredients use Fish and Crops.
