Foraging works best as part of another trip. Choose an area for a quest, villager, fish, or shop, then gather visible resources along the route with the right tool. Current world-data references group the clearest wild resource patches on the Farm, Mountain, and Cemetery. They show where to look, not guaranteed drops, quantities, tool requirements, or a daily reset.
Protect flowers, berries, ores, bones, and unfamiliar processed materials until you know their quest, gift, recipe, or collection use. Wood and stone feel common, but large rebuilding jobs can consume them faster than casual gathering replaces them.
Match the area to the material family
The Farm is the convenient starting route for Blueberries, Poppies, Sunflowers, ordinary stone, trees, logs, pebbles, and mixed weeds. It is suitable for short collection loops between crop care and home building.
The Mountain has the broadest recorded mix: berries and flowers, Limestone, named Bronze, Silver, and Gold deposit areas, rocks, timber, and foliage. A named deposit area is a search clue only. The harvested item, tool threshold, respawn, and current public-branch availability require in-game confirmation.
The Cemetery has Sunflowers, Nightshade, trees, bones, and wild foliage in current records. Combine that route with Crow, fishing, or a relevant quest so the travel produces more than one resource type.
Farm
Fast wood, stone, berry, flower, debris, and weed checks near your crop and building work.
Short loopMountain
Wide mixed-material search with flowers, timber, rocks, Limestone, and named metal-deposit areas.
Verify deposits liveCemetery
Look for Nightshade, bones, Sunflowers, trees, and foliage while handling Crow or fishing objectives.
Special materialsVillage and Neighbourhood
Treat these primarily as character, home, shop, fishing, and rebuilding routes unless an objective marks a resource.
Purpose-led travelBring only the tools the route needs
Use the Axe for tree targets, Pickaxe for appropriate rocks or deposits, and Scythe for weeds that the current tier can cut. The Leaf Blower belongs to small-rubbish cleanup rather than every wild plant. Some targets reject a low-tier tool; the failed hit is information, not a reason to spend the whole stamina bar.
Before upgrading, check whether the desired target truly needs a stronger tier or whether it is story-gated. Community data lists many Silver and Gold definitions, but an asset record is not proof that its blueprint is active in the current Early Access progression. Follow the quest, FHA machine, and workstation shown in your save.
Plan around uncertain replenishment
Do not assume every cleared patch returns the next morning. Current extracted records indicate that world spawns have their own replenishment settings. A patch can remain empty while another part of the same area has recovered. Rotate between regions and attach gathering to active errands instead of waiting beside one node.
When a resource is absent, confirm the correct subarea, story progress, time, and tool. Leave and revisit later, then compare another patch in the same region. If a community guide names a resource but the public build never produces it, record the date and build context. Quartz and Silver are active player questions; until current live acquisition is verified, this guide does not give a guaranteed coordinate or drop.
Bag discipline prevents lost work. Keep at least several free slots, store quest reserves separately, and process wood or ore only when the next recipe requires the refined form. A raw material can be more flexible than a component made too early.
Turn each trip into progression
Read the task log before leaving. A flower trip can also support gifts, collections, and a villager request. A Mountain trip can combine Ronen, fishing, ore scouting, and the Temple entrance. A Cemetery trip can combine Crow, fish, bones, and Nightshade. Mark what you actually found so later visits distinguish an empty patch from the wrong region.
